computer literacy courses for both adults and children,
arts and craft classes and courses in English as a second language
for our Spanish speaking residents. Residents have input into the activities that may be offered.

Rent at these units is based
on household income of the family, however, any household may elect to pay
a flat rent instead of income based rent. |
|
Working families in Public
Housing may be eligible for a $1,000.00 working family allowance
that is deducted from their gross annual income prior to calculating
the rent. Families receiving TANF who start to work while they are
in public housing may have part of their work income disregarded
when they stop receiving TANF. Income disregards may also be
available to those who have been unemployed for a year or more when
they return to work. |
